SurviveDAT, a partnership between Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Baton Rouge and LSU’s School of Public Health, seeks breast cancer survivors under the age of 45 to serve on an advisory committee that will explore the creation of a Northshore chapter. SurviveDAT has been a key source of support and resources for young breast cancer survivors in the Baton Rouge area, offering support groups, quarterly workshops on relevant topics and other resources. SurviveDAT is committed to offer the same opportunities to young breast cancer survivors on the Northshore. Those interested in attending the planning meeting should contact Jane Freudenberger, MSW, LCSW, at 985-276-6832. The meeting is scheduled for the last week in September with the confirmed date and time to be announced soon.
