LaSandra Barton MD

Dr. Barton completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at LSU School of Medicine and Charity Hospital in New Orleans. During this time she volunteered at the New Orleans Homeless Mission Adult Clinic. She then completed a fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine at LSU's Medical Center of Louisiana and Ochsner Foundation Hospital.After serving as a staff physician at both Chaubert Hospital in Houma, LA and Kindred Hospital in New Orleans, Dr. Barton worked several years in private practice. During these years she also volunteered at LSU's Pediatric Homeless Clinic.In 2006, Northshore Regional Hospital nominated Dr. Barton for Doctor of the Year: Most Compassionate and awarded her the title of Miss Congeniality. She was also named as their Doctor of the Month in November of the same year.She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease, and she holds memberships in the American College of Physicians, the American College of Chest Physicians, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the American Medical Association, and the Louisiana Medical Society.
