The St. Tammany Hospital Foundation Gurney Games sponsored by Fauntleroy & Latham Architects is a unique fundraising event in which teams of costumed racers navigate hospital gurneys through a fun and challenging obstacle course. Gurney Teams race in tandem and are in competition against all gurney teams for fastest time.

The 2008 Gurney Games was an amazing success! Over 450 gurney team members, corporate sponsors, volunteers and guests attended the event. In addition to the Big Race, the crowds enjoyed arcade games, snowballs, delicious food, our first ever Gurney Parade and live music by The Blue Meanies! In addition to the race, teams are also in competition for the decorating of their gurney and the team’s costuming. Event awards were given for fastest gurney, most creatively decorated gurney and Fan Favorite.
