STPH Medical Staff Committee Awards Scholarship

Scholarships promote employee education and careers

COVINGTON, LA- The St. Tammany Parish Hospital Medical Staff Committee has awarded a $2,000 professional education scholarship to STPH employee Jennifer Koch, L.P.N.

Koch, of Covington, is earning a nursing degree from the Delgado Charity School of Nursing.  She is a licensed practical nurse working in the STPH 2 West nursing unit.  Koch has worked at STPH since 2007.

The scholarship supports the hospital’s leadership in role in assisting employees to further their education, training and careers at STPH.  Employees are able to grow professionally and move up the career ladder while still working at the hospital.

STPH’s commitment to its employees is also recognized by its being named as a Top 10 “Best Places to Work” by New Orleans CityBusiness and among the top 5% of employers in the nation as an “Employer of Choice®.”
