Our library contains over 400 current items available on a variety of subjects. Topics vary from cancer diagnosis and treatment, lymphedema, nutrition, exercise, pain, caregiving, children and family to complimentary treatment, genetics and even end-of-life issues and professional resources. Items may be checked out on a monthly basis, and many can be kept for future reference. Internet access, video and DVD equipment are also available, as well as information on community and financial resources. The library is open to patients, caregivers, health professionals and the public. Certified oncology nurses are available for consultation, and we offer many programs on nutrition, stress reduction, cancer prevention, early detection, treatment and survivorship issues. The majority if items may be checked out, including books, DVDs and videos. Computer and Internet access is also available.

The Cancer Survival Toolbox is a free, self-guided audio program that has been developed by leading cancer organizations to help people develop important skills to better meet and understand the challenges of their illness. The goal of the Toolbox is to help you develop practical tools in your daily life as you deal with your cancer diagnosis and treatment. Family members and caregivers can also use the Toolbox on behalf of a child or anyone else with cancer.
On this site, you can read or listen to the Toolbox in English and Spanish, or download the files to read or listen to later. You can order a free CD version of the program by filling out their online form or calling (877) NCCS-YES.
The American Cancer Society can provide the up-to-date information you need to help make treatment decisions, understand the effects of treatment, find treatment centers and doctors, cope with side effects, and talk with others. Meet other survivors and find or offer support on the Cancer Survivors Network. Find lodging, workshops, transportation and other services and products for cancer patients, survivors and loved ones. Get resources for healthy living, including lowering your cancer risk with timely screening tests, smoking cessation, good food choices, and an active lifestyle.
The American Cancer Society is closely involved with the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) of physicians and institutions that represent the largest, most well-known comprehensive cancer centers in the country and help to promote the use of Treatment Summaries for cancers commonly seen in the U.S. today.

The American Cancer Society Clinical Trials Matching Service is a free, confidential program that can match you to appropriate trials nationally or within your region.
The National Cancer Institute's website (http://www.cancer.gov/clinicaltrials) lists more than 1,800 NCI-sponsored cancer clinical trials and explains what to do when you find one that you think is right for you.
