Genetic Counseling

STPH is proud to partner with Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, the Leonard C. Thomas HOS Foundation and St. Tammany Memorial Cancer Fund to provide confidential counseling at no charge. Our certified genetic counselors help to identify high-risk individuals and address concerns about their personal risk of developing cancer. In addition to conducting a detailed risk assessment of personal/family risk, counselors ensure individuals understand the screening options for early detection as well as ways to reduce their risks through lifestyle modification. In other words, we arm people with the necessary information to help them make informed decisions. To schedule an appointment with a genetic counselor or for more information, call 985-898-4581.
