The St. Tammany Parish Hospital emergency department is a non-bedded unit, providing emergency care for all patients without discrimination.
With good teamwork, the Emergency Department strives to treat every patient according to each individual’s emergency need in a timely manner. All patients requesting examination and/or treatment will receive an appropriate medical screening exam by a physician to determine if an emergency medical condition exists.
In 2005, St. Tammany Parish Hospital introduced a minor care track in the Emergency Department that has drastically reduced wait times and consistently earned the department benchmarks below the national average. Whether your visit to the ER is for a minor incident or a major infarction, our skilled staff will care for you.

If you are on the main entrance end of the building, go down the main hall off the lobby near the fountain. Go straight down the hall and take the last right to ER reception.
