Just as healthcare is increasingly relying on evidence-based medicine, hospitals are increasingly interested in evidence-based design (building based on the best available evidence for promoting safety, health, wellness, healing and inspiration). St. Tammany Parish Hospital will use this significant hospital design improvement as it grows to provide a hospital environment that is family-oriented, improves quality and supports staff.
Successive phases of the strategic plan will evolve on pace with regional growth and will transform our setting into a healing environment that helps to improve patient outcomes. The long-term strategy includes inpatient services on the main campus and outpatient services throughout the service area, taking care to the neighborhoods where people need it. Healing Arts (including nature, art, beauty and restful influences in the designs and décor of our spaces) will continue to be an integral part of St. Tammany’s growth and development.
