COVINGTON, LA – The St. Tammany Hospital Guild donated 137 pounds of food to the Covington Food Bank Thursday, August 1.

“Our quarterly drive for the Food Bank is just one of our many projects,” said David Brumfield, Guild President. “The Guild is actively seeking new members as we have a variety of volunteer opportunities to meet individual interests and schedules.”

The St. Tammany Hospital Guild is an organization of approximately 115 members who donate 25,000 hours each year in 20 of the hospital’s departments. The Guild also raises funds through sales in the hospital gift shop to provide nursing and allied health scholarships for fall and spring semesters annually. These scholarships are awarded to deserving hospital staff members who are furthering their education in medical fields.
