St. Tammany Hospital Guild Donates Scooter to Assist Visitor Mobility
COVINGTON, LA – The St. Tammany Hospital Guild donated a heavy duty three-wheeled scooter to the hospital Tuesday, July 16.
“Hospital visitors who have difficulties being mobile can now use a hospital scooter to visit friends and families in the hospital,” said David Brumfield, Guild President. “This donation is just one of the many ways the Guild assists the hospital with caring for visitors as well as patients.”
The St. Tammany Hospital Guild is an organization of approximately 115 members who donate 25,000 hours each year in 20 of the hospital’s departments. The Guild also raises funds through sales in the hospital gift shop to provide annual nursing and allied health scholarships for the fall and spring semesters. These scholarships are awarded to deserving hospital staff members who are furthering their education in medical fields.
