Dr. Joey LaMartina II is a dual-fellowship trained and Board Certified orthopedic surgeon, specializing in shoulder, elbow, knee and sports medicine. He earned a medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed a Residency with Boston University Orthopaedic Surgery Residency. Dr. LaMartina completed a sports medicine fellowship at UCSF in San Francisco and a shoulder and elbow fellowship at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa.

His special interests include management and treatment of adolescent and adult sports injuries of the elbow, shoulder and knee. He also specializes in the management of shoulder pathology, including shoulder replacement surgery, reverse shoulder replacement surgery, and revision shoulder replacement surgery. Dr. LaMartina also specializes in the management of knee pathology, including arthroscopic knee surgery including total knee replacement.

Dr. LaMartina treats glenoid labral tear, AC joint, shoulder arthroplasty, shoulder reconstruction, rotator cuff, elbow pain, knee pain or injury, bicep rupture and a host of elbow, shoulder, knee and other orthopedic conditions.​

He was born and raised in the area and is a graduate of St. Paul's School in Covington. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of Notre Dame.
