Positive and presumptive positive COVID-19 cases reported by St. Tammany Health System 
and the Louisiana Department of Health as of noon Saturday, April 4, 2020:

As of noon Saturday (April 4, 2020), the Louisiana Department of Health was reporting 12,496 positive or presumptive positive cases of COVID-19 statewide, including 532 in St. Tammany Parish, 75 in Washington Parish and 131 in Tangipahoa Parish. St. Tammany Health System is currently caring for 14 positive-tested patients and 24 more with COVID tests pending. All STHS patients who test positive or are suspected of being infected with COVID-19 are kept in isolation with negative pressure, and all colleagues are following proper procedures.

Wash your hands, cough into your elbow
avoid large gatherings and stay home when you don't feel well.
Do not seek care in the emergency room 
if you are not experiencing an emergency. 
Do not visit the hospital for social purposes.


All patients exhibiting symptoms, including children, are required to wear a mask at STHS facilities. No exceptions. By order of LDH, only one essential caregiver permitted per patient.

STHS is currently operating a drive-through testing station at its Mandeville Diagnostic Center for those with orders from a physician. Ochsner designated its Mandeville Urgent Care for COVID-19 assessment and testing, along with Houma and New Orleans locations.

We work closely with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to make sure that we are informed.
